Ho Chi Minh City lights up the sky for the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, with a 15-minute artistic fireworks display at seven sites across the city. The Saigon River Tunnel hosts the biggest show (1,000 high-altitude and 200 low-altitude shells); an artistic programme starts earlier in the evening. Pick a spot and get there early, the riverside fills up fast.
